The Leupold VX-R with it's sleek design and daylight-capable illumination is unveiled with Leupold's new patented 1 On/Off button design relocated on the turret, minimizing bulk and eliminating the old clunky battery compartment obstruction on the eye piece. The new location allows users easier access to select between 8 intensity settings, including a low/high indicator that blinks when brightness level's are maxed out. Operating on the readily available CR-2023 coin-cell battery which produces remarkable run times. A newly designed fiber optic light pipe eliminates the need for an eyepiece-based control module. Leupold's proprietary motion sensor automatically deactivates illumination after 5 minutes of inactivity, to conserve battery life, yet reactivates instantly as soon as any movement is detected. Leupold chose it's legendary Index Matched Lens System with edge-blackened lead free lenses for astonishing clarity and light transmission, with an extreme fast-focus eyepiece to ensure optimal diopter adjustment in the field.
