AR223 (M557) Night Vision compatible - DISCONTINUED
EOTech HWS 557 AR223 has been developed to optimize the functionality of the
EOTech HWS. The buttons have been moved from the back to the left side for
instant access, allowing a magnifier, night vision, or a back up iron sight to
fit closely to the EOTech HWS body. New button position allows the user to
operate the L3 EOTech HWS function switches easier than ever before. This
allows for NV devices and magnifiers to be mounted right up behind the HWS
without interfering with access to the brightness controls. Additionally, a
portion of the front base has been raised to allow the sight to be mounted in a
forward scout position and to fit over standard hand guards found on many M-4
or M-16 style weapons. The L3 EOTech 557.AR223 Holographic Weapon Sight is
configured with a new ballistic matching BDC reticle image for the M4 carbine.
The battle tested circle/dot reticle will be offered along with a series of 1
MOA aiming dots that are vertically aligned and calibrated specifically for the
ballistic drop of .223 caliber ammunition. The .223 (5.56) M4 BDC Bullet Drop
Compensating reticle provides 4 aiming dots for target distances of 0-300m,
400m, 500m, and 600m. This sight is similar to EOTech 552, but features the
control buttons on the left side of the sight. The 557 is available with the M4
Bullet-Drop-Compensating Reticle for use with either of L3 EOTech magnifiers.
